Summer Theater Workshops for Youth

The Little Theatre of Watertown (LTW) is thrilled to announce the return of its popular Summer Theater Workshops, offering an engaging and educational experience for young people aged 10 to 18. This day camp-style program will run from Monday, July 28, to Thursday, July 31, 2025, providing aspiring performers and theater enthusiasts with a comprehensive introduction to the world of live theater.

Workshops will be held daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 1330 Gotham Street in Watertown, NY. Participants will receive instruction in a wide range of theatrical skills, encompassing both performance and non-performance aspects.

Performance training will cover essential areas such as auditioning techniques, characterization, and scene work. For those interested in behind-the-scenes magic, the workshops will delve into set design, costume creation, and prop management. Beyond technical skills, students will also learn vital theater etiquette, gain a brief overview of theater history, and sharpen their creative instincts through improvisational games.

The enrollment fee for the general public is $60, with a discounted price of $50 available for LTW members. Families and friends are invited to a special showcase at 3:00 PM on the final day, Thursday, July 31, where students will proudly demonstrate the skills that they've developed throughout the week.

Early registration is highly recommended, as space for these workshops is limited. To secure a spot, please visit www.littletheatreofwatertown.com/workshops.
