The Fort La Présentation Association, in conjunction with Forsyth’s Rifles Reenactor group, is hosting the Battle of Ogdensburg on Feb. 17 and 18.

The Battle of Ogdensburg was a battle of the War of 1812 that actually occurred on February 22, 1813. The British gained a victory over the Americans and captured the village of Ogdensburg, NY. Although small in scale, it was important because it removed the American threat to British supply lines for the remainder of the war.

The event is free and open to the public.
