A special event is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Better Farm in Redwood to celebrate 10 years of Better Radio, Redwood’s first—and only—FM radio station.

"An Evening With Better Radio" will feature several rounds of trivia, an open mic, cash bar, and silent auction. The event is open to all ages and hosted by local nonprofit betterArts, an organization working to make the arts more accessible to all. BetterArts launched Better Radio in 2024; the station features hosted shows, programmed music sets, talk radio, weather and news reports, and live performances. Better Radio broadcasts terrestrially in the Redwood area at 88.5 FM and streams live 24/7 commercial-free at betterradio.airtime.pro. The event will be broadcast and streamed live for those who can not attend.

There is a suggested $10 donation to attend the event (day-of or in advance) but no barrier to entry—all are welcome. People can reserve their spots or show their support via Venmo or Paypal @betterarts. All donations of $50 or more are 100% tax-deductible.
