Jul 26, 2021 — The Breakwater Gallery has been an artistic haven in Cape Vincent for over 20 years. But the Covid pandemic and a lost lease nearly changed that. The Thousand Islands artists group suddenly found itself without a space for exhibits and sales, and then a local grocer offered the use of some storage space.

Wait, a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread and a watercolor? Why not? Todd Moe stopped by last week to find the artists excited about their new art space, next to Aubrey's Frenchtown Market in a prime spot on Cape Vincent's main street.
