Threads of Connection: Mohawk Arts & Environmental Stewardship

Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY) is proud to announce the opening of its newest exhibition, Threads of Connection: Mohawk Arts and Environmental Stewardship, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at The TAUNY Center (53 Main Street) in Canton, NY. The exhibit will be on display through February 14, 2026, before traveling to additional locations in 2026.

This compelling exhibition celebrates the artisan work and cultural practices of ten Akwesasne Mohawk artists, highlighting their deep connections with the natural world and their ongoing responses to environmental challenges.

Opening Reception: Join TAUNY for an Opening Reception on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main Street, Canton, NY. The event will include a Q&A session with participating artists and refreshments will be served.
